About Directors

Mr. Doug Oberhelman (Chairman & CEO) is in the Board of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. Our head Mr. Oberhelman earned a bachelor degree in finance from Millikin University. He has joined the Caterpillar treasury department in the year 1975 and has worked upon variety of business projects across the company. He was elected vice president and chief financial officer in 1995, and became a group president in 2002 with responsibility for Caterpillar’s engine and power systems businesses. During his work, he has lived in North America, South America and Asia. In October 2009, Doug Oberhelman was named vice chairman and CEO-elect of Caterpillar and immediately began to develop the company’s future strategic plan. Since becoming CEO on July 1, 2010, and chairman on November 1, 2010, he has implemented the business plan that become immense successful in the market sphere. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors of Eli Lilly and Company. He is on the executive committee of the Business Round table, a member of the Business Council and former chair of the National Association of Manufacturers. He is a member of the Nature Conservancy Latin America Conservation Council, vice president of the Wetlands America Trust and chairman of the board of trustees for the Easter Seals Foundation of Central Illinois.
